This is pretty well packed because it's packed from Asia then that box is put into another box for delivery within U.S. And definitely in good shape on arrival and it arrived before the wide delivery window.The major reason I bought this is I needed a small lamp but not one that took only a nightlight size bulb. This one is up to 60W Medium Base, which is perfect if you need a not-so-fragile, yet small, very bright light. I use this on a table next to a chair.It has a variety of lamp shades available so you should be able to find one that goes with any decor.The lamp is very lightweight but again not that fragile because of the wood base and the lamp shade is not any type of glass.I figure if the lamp falls off the table then the bulb MIGHT break but the shade encompasses the bulb so maybe it won't break after all.
